Welcome to UtilityFix. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (www.utilityfix.co.uk) and the energy brokerage services we offer. By using this site, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these conditions, please do not use this website or our services.

1. Definitions

  • UtilityFix, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to A Cube Utilities Ltd, trading as UtilityFix, registered in the United Kingdom (73 High Street, Coedpoeth, Wrexham LL11 3UG).
  • You or Customer means any individual or business user of this website or our services.
  • Website means www.utilityfix.co.uk.
  • Services refers to our commercial utility price comparison and energy contract brokerage services.
  • Utility Supplier means any gas or electricity provider we introduce to you.
  • Contract means any agreement entered into for utility supply as a result of our services.
  • Commission means any payment we receive from a Utility Supplier when a contract is agreed.
  • Uplift refers to a cost added to the unit rate or standing charge within your agreed tariff.

2. Website Use

  • You are located in the United Kingdom.
  • You will not misuse the website or attempt to disrupt its functionality.
  • You are at least 18 years of age or accessing it under the supervision of an adult or authorised representative.

3. Intellectual Property

All website content—including but not limited to text, images, design, graphics, logos, and software—is the property of UtilityFix or its licensors. Content may be downloaded for personal use only and must not be copied, redistributed, published, or modified without our prior written consent.

4. Service Terms

UtilityFix provides independent business energy advice and arranges electricity and/or gas supply contracts with trusted suppliers. We are not a price comparison site, but act as an intermediary to negotiate competitive rates on your behalf.

We receive a commission from the chosen Utility Supplier, which may be included in the unit rate or standing charge of your contract.

We do not charge you directly for our services unless explicitly stated in writing.

5. Commission & Uplift Transparency

We may apply a maximum uplift of £0.04 per kWh, unless otherwise agreed with you.

This uplift may be added to either the unit rate or the daily standing charge, depending on the Utility Supplier's structure.

Commission is only payable to us once your new contract is live with the supplier.

6. Limitation of Liability

UtilityFix does its best to ensure information provided is accurate and up to date. However:

  • We cannot guarantee the availability, accuracy or suitability of all supplier quotes.
  • We are not accountable for any decisions you make based on the information provided on this website.
  • We accept no responsibility for loss of data, profit, business or reputation, or for damages caused by third parties or external sites linked from our website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date details when seeking quotes or entering contracts.
  • Notify us of any Change of Tenancy at least 30 days before moving premises.
  • Ensure all payments to your chosen Utility Supplier are made in accordance with your contractual terms.
  • Not misuse our platform or attempt to manipulate the quotation process.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

All personal data is processed responsibly and lawfully, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is processed only for the purpose of arranging utility services or assessing suitability.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to external sites. We provide these solely for your ease of access and do not necessarily endorse their content. We are not responsible for the content or reliability of third-party websites.

10. Termination & Cancellation

UtilityFix reserves the right to suspend or withdraw access to our website or services at any time without notice. We may also reject any application for a utility contract, without obligation to provide a reason.

Customers may cancel requests or quotations without charge prior to contract confirmation. Once a utility contract has been accepted, the terms of cancellation will be subject to the Utility Supplier’s own terms and conditions.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) strikes, supply chain issues, power outages, or extreme weather.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in compliance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any legal disputes will be exclusively handled by the courts of England and Wales.

13. Declaration

UtilityFix is the trading name and official brand of The Energy Company (UK) Ltd., a company registered and operating in the United Kingdom.
